Ilmavaltiaat Oy (business ID 2948586-5, hereinafter referred to as the “Tour Operator”) sells services to individuals and companies. The prices of the services include value-added tax (VAT 10/14/24% depending on the product). We reserve the right to change prices.

Ordering

Services are ordered on the website of the online store by adding them to the shopping cart and paying for the contents of the shopping cart at the checkout. All customer information is handled confidentially. The contact information requested when placing the order is not used for any other purpose than delivering the order or clarifying any ambiguities that may arise. When ordering from the online store, you are required to familiarize yourself with and commit to the current General terms and Conditions of Ordering and Delivery.

Please note! If you are unable to add the service to your shopping cart, you can still inquire about cancellation places for our trips directly by phone on the day of departure.

Payment

The payment transaction of the online store is carried out by PayPal Holdings, Inc. PayPal’s privacy policy can be read here: [link to PayPal’s privacy policy]. Some services may include a booking fee. In these situations, the remaining part of the product will be paid during the trip.

Payment Methods

PayPal, through which PayPal account or card payments (Visa, Visa Electron, MasterCard, and Business Eurocard) are accepted.

Order and Payment Confirmation

After a successful order, a confirmation will be sent to your email. Services are activated once the payment is received. With card payment and online bank payment methods, there may be a slight delay in activating the service.

Delivery Time

The service will be delivered according to the agreement after the payment of the booking fee at the agreed time. Information about the service will be delivered via email.

Customer Cancellations

The cancellation conditions for customers are as follows:

• Cancellation 30 days before the trip: free of charge
• Cancellation 15-29 days before the trip: cancellation fee of 25 euros
• Cancellation 4-14 days before the trip: cancellation fee of 50 euros
• Cancellation 72 hours before the trip: cancellation fee of 100 euros.

You must always notify us of the cancellation of the trip by email to: info@nikolaurila.fi.

We will refund the money using the same payment method as the booking fee. It may take a few bank days for the refund to appear in your account.

Tour Operator Cancellations

Please note that aurora forecasts change rapidly. The Tour Operator reserves the right to cancel the trip 12 hours before the start of the trip if the aurora forecast is poor. We only conduct trips when the forecasts to see the Northern Lights are good. If the Tour Operator cancels the trip, the paid booking fees will be refunded.

Liability

The Tour Operator does not have liability insurance for any damages that may occur to customers during the trip. We only take responsibility for damages to the vehicle and for the interruption of the trip due to reasons attributable to the Tour Operator. Customers are responsible for ensuring the coverage of their travel insurance themselves. Please note that the trips may be physically challenging and are only suitable for individuals over 13 years old and physically healthy. Weather conditions vary, and customers are responsible for ensuring their own warm clothing.

Force Majeure

The Tour Operator is not responsible for interruptions or damages to the trip caused by force majeure (including i.e. terrorism, pandemics, war, strikes, extreme weather conditions, or other severe natural phenomena).

Choice of Law and Jurisdiction

The trip and these terms and conditions are governed by Finnish law. Any disputes will be handled by Itä-Uusimaa District Court of Finland.

Validity of Terms

If any of these Terms and Conditions of Ordering and Delivery are deemed invalid, illegal, or unenforceable, the remaining parts of the Terms and Conditions shall remain valid.
